Other Projects

Although the main focus of this portfolio is the web and graphic design I have a lot of skills exhibited here. As creative energy flows it does flow pretty well for me and I am glad I am finding success in the different medium.

There will be links to additional details that appear deeper in the site. Some of the projects have a window for your investment. Be a part of something a-maz-ing.

I went to school for web design and interactive media through The Art Institute of Las Vegas with a desire to turn what was mostly a hobby into a career. I still find a huge degree of satisfaction working in this field, but freelance style has been a whole other challenge.

The different media I am allowed to explore, the different ways I am allowed to grow in my creativity, are all seeds for projects I can take on with fewer limits than many other people. I am not stuck in one place. Last year when I went to audition for “Work of Art” on Bravo it is with that I thought there was no possible way they could turn me down; yet it was like I was not even considered. Their mistake!

So, thank you for checking out my portfolio and reaching deeper by check out my other projects.

Installation Art

Since graduating from Art School (the second time), I found myself drawn to a medium that I found great passion and excitement with. In this case it is Installation Art.

Monotropolis at Burning Man - 8/20102010 saw my first Installation Piece as an homage to Stanley Kubrick and 2001: A Space Odyssey when I recreated, in the right scale, a black monolith that looked great out in the desert. The reaction of people around it was inspiring alone. People acted out scenes from the movie next to it.

2011 brought to life Final Passage built for Burning Man 2011. The creation of this project was about the journey more than the result. I was elbow to elbow with some of the great contemporary artists in the Bay.

2012 will hopefully see a lot more creative channels opening up. Last year inspired a few pieces including a smaller scale installation project I am calling “Issues On The Table” which have a very psychological backdrop that are very personal. Here is the imagining of the piece.

Costumes

I have been able to find inspiration in this world I have stumbled into and within that made some fun designs. Steampunk combined with other inspirations have resulted in one recent creation that kinda blurs these ideas with a feminine bodice gender-skewed for a male. Like bodice meets vest.

T-Shirts

I am still working on a more diverse line of shirt designs.

Writing

Fiction has been a passion of mine. My writing skills eventually led to a lot of training classes I offered at several of my positions in the past. There are different kinds of writing, variations I have also studied in school, leading to some pretty successful directions.
